The Restaurant, which originally opened in 1988, has had a complete facelift and looks like a totally different venue, but it was good to find that what made the old Grapes such an excellence place for a meal hasn't changed. The new image is very up-to-date, with tables and chairs slimmer and lighter than the previous heavy furniture. The space has been opened up with the removal of thick archways and the building has an airier feel to it. Moody lighting and contemporary art on the walls all help nature a relaxed feeling.
