Wedding Car Sussex

Rolls was born in Berkeley Square, London and was the third son to the 1st Baron Llangattock, I get the impression there was money in the family, he attended Eton College where he developed an interest in engines that earned him the nickname “Dirty Rolls”, yes, I can just imagine the perfectly turned out Etonians and one with grubby finger nails.

Rolls was introduced to Henry Royce at the Automobile Club by a mutual friend, Royce was already the Director of Royce Ltd.

The two of them eventually had an historic meeting at the Midland Hotel in Manchester where there partnership was cemented on the 4th of May 1904.

If it wasn’t for that meeting then Babs, my 1934 Rolls Royce Wedding Car wouldn’t be sitting in my garage now and I wouldn’t have all those lovely photos of smiling brides with her.
