It is 8 miles north of the historic market town of Dorchester, which is the county town of Dorset. Twelve miles north is Sherborne with its Abbey and 2 castles. Just over the hill is Cerne Abbas with its famous chalk giant -The Cerne Giant - carved into the hillside. Also, being just 16 miles from Weymouth with its’ beautiful safe sandy bay and the stunning Jurassic Coast, which is a World Heritage Site, you are perfectly situated for a holiday mixing both coast and countryside.
